Course Description
The Inland Waters Oil Spill Response Course will cover the advanced skills required to respond to and cleanup oil spills in fast waters and on land environments.  Emphasis is placed on the selection of advanced oil spill boom response techniques and the utilization of spill equipment for oil spill containment, recovery and cleanup in fast water, streams, lakes, ponds and on the land environment.

Topics to be discussed include:

·         Oil Spill Boom Design & Construction Techniques            

·         Oil Spill Boom Deployment Techniques & Strategies

·         Oil Skimmer Selection and Use

·         Spills on Land - Containment & Cleanup Techniques
